CoBPC City of Brisbane Pistol Club
Question: How do I join the City of Brisbane Pistol Club?
Answer: The first step for all prospective new members (excluding AB license holders) is to report to any Queensland Police station in order to apply for a 'Statement of Eligability' (QP0515). Once you have recieved the 'Statement of Eligability' you will need to appear in person to the club in order to begin the process of submitting an application to go before the club committee.

For those who do not already have an AB license, you will also need to attend a Weapons Safety Course in order to obtain a 'Statement of Attainment'.
Question: As a new member do I have to buy a pistol when I join CoBPC?
Answer: No. Until you acquire a category H licence, CoBPC committee members will make available a pistol for your use during new member calendar matches held on Saturdays and Tuesday evenings.
Question: What disciplines of pistol shooting does CoBPC conduct?
Answer: The CoBPC conducts matches in the following pistol shooting disciplines;
For safety reasons all new shooters are required to start with ISSF matches (air pistol & .22 rimfire).

All new prospective members are advised that the rules and regulations for obtaining and holding
a firearms license, are governed by the Queensland Police Service under the Weapons Act
and not by the City of Brisbane Pistol Club.
