Matches

Following is a brief summary of matches that are shot at the club. Saturday matches generally start at 10am and 1pm. The club guns from the armory are usually available for new members, please ask a committee person to 'sign' one out to you if required. (Don't leave it until the last minute to organize this, committee members also like to shoot and enjoy their sport without too many interruptions.) Preparation time usually begins five minutes before the start of the match. Please ensure you have your own target in place prior to the 'preparation' time commencing. Tuesday night matches start at 7pm. Other matches through the week may or may not have committee members available to open the armory.

All matches shot in club level competitions, regardless of the calibre specified below, can be shot with a .22LR pistol. This is so that members can try a competition before committing to the expense of a particular firearm. Open competitions are always shot with the correct calibre. Similarly, matches designated as mens or womens may be shot by either at club level.

Disabled shooters shoot 25m sport pistol and are encouraged to shoot any other matches they are able to safely compete in.

The City of Brisbane Pistol Club also run several 'open' competitions throughout the year, details of which are posted around the club. All members, especially new members, are encouraged to participate in these matches as they are designed to be fun and sociable rather than serious competition.
