Is there a restriction on calibres?

City of Brisbane Pistol Club is approved for  .177 air to .45 calibre centrefire pistols note some larger calibres have the potential to breach our Range Approvals and restrictions may apply.

Can I try out the sport before joining?

There are no organised try out activities offered.  We suggest prospective members visit the club to learn more to find out how they can be involved.

Can I shoot at the range on my own after I am licensed?

Club Standing Orders require that you must do a Range Operator course or hold Range Officer qualifications in order to be permitted to shoot on your own.  Range Operator courses are held at the club as required.  You do not need to have a license to undertake the Range Operator course.

How long will it take before I can apply for my H license?

Queensland legislation requires you to be a member of the club for at least 6 months before applying for your H (concealable) license.  Usually QLD police will issue the license within 3 months after application.
