Next Weapons Safety Course is to be held on Sunday 19th February 2012
The City of Brisbane Pistol Club holds Weapons Safety Courses on the 4th Sunday of each month (except in December). Anyone wishing to obtain a firearms licence must complete a Weapons Safety Course as part of the licencing process.
The scheduled date may vary slightly due to major events or competitions so please check for any notices on this website,
numbers are limited so please contact the training officer at wsc@cobpc.org.au to reserve your place at the next course, a deposit will be required in order to reserve your spot.
Note: There are a number of clubs conducting Weapons Safety Courses, but not all of them include the category H (pistol) component,
please check to ensure that the course you are attending will cover all categories of firearms you are interested in. The City of Brisbane Pistol Club covers pistol, rifle and shotgun categories in all courses we facilitate.
Participants should have a current 'Statement of Eligibility' or 'longarms licence' to do the course. While the 'Statement of Eligibility' is not compulsory to do the course, it is suggested that statement be obtained (or at least applied for) just prior to the course, as doing so will save time when joining a shooting club.
Prerequisites: When attending the range to do a Weapons Safety Course, you must have photo ID. (no photo ID - no shooting).
You will also need to have covered footwear and a shirt/top with sleeves. Singlets, cammo or military style clothing is not acceptable on the range.
